Processing of your personal data

All personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data and implement systematic security procedures on a continuous basis to prevent unauthorised access. We also continuously monitor our business operations to ensure that this Privacy Policy and our internal guidelines maintain an adequate level of compliance with the GDPR.

Information we collect

We may collect and process the following categories of your personal data:

  • Data you provide directly to us, for example when you fill in forms on our website, including when you download materials (such as whitepapers), register for seminars or courses, apply for a position, or submit business inquiries, including requests for a quote. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, company, role/title, address, geographical location, education and professional experience, as well as the content of your message;
  • Data related to transactions, when you purchase products or services or enter into an agreement with us. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, address, company details, and digital user identity;
  • Communication data, if you contact us by email, telephone or other means. We may retain records of such correspondence and the contact details you provide;
  • Data collected automatically, including information about your use of our website, such as IP address, browser type, browser language, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, time spent on pages, number of clicks, and date and time of access. For more information, please see our Cookie Policy.

Marketing

When you submit a business enquiry (e.g. via our contact form or by contacting us by other means, such as email or telephone), we may contact you to respond to your request and, where relevant, to provide information about similar products and services offered by us. This processing is based on our legitimate interests under the GDPR in responding to business enquiries and developing our B2B customer relationships, provided that your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms do not override those interests. We will not use your contact details for marketing purposes beyond the scope of your enquiry and similar products/services without further legal basis.

You can object to direct marketing at any time. If you object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, we will immediately cease to use your personal data for those purposes. To exercise this right, please contact us using the contact details provided below.

How we use personal data

We use personal data in the following ways:

  • To ensure that content from our website is presented as effectively as possible to you and for the device you are using;
  • To provide you with the information you request from us. We may contact you with information about products or services similar to those you have enquired about. For B2B enquiries submitted via our contact form or by contacting us by other means, this processing is based on our legitimate interests under the GDPR, subject to your right to object. We will also use personal data to send out e-mail reminders, information on new product releases and to request your feedback and comments. These e-mail messages will contain links for managing settings and, where applicable, links to unsubscribe that you can use if you no longer wish to receive these e-mail messages;
  • To inform you of changes in the service that you have purchased or subscribed to;
  • To process job applications and manage recruitment processes, including assessing your suitability for positions and contacting you in relation to such opportunities.

Legal basis

The legal basis for our processing of personal data is as follows:

  • Legitimate interests: We rely on legitimate interests to follow up on B2B enquiries and leads submitted via our contact forms or by contacting us by other means, to respond to your requests, and, where relevant, to provide information about products and services that are similar to or related to the subject of your enquiry. We may also use your contact details for limited and relevant follow-up communications, such as information about relevant product updates, offers and invitations to activities (e.g., training courses and seminars). When relying on legitimate interests, we have carried out a balancing test, taking into account the nature of B2B enquiries and leads and the reasonable expectations of individuals submitting such enquiries, to ensure that our interests are not overridden by your interests, rights or freedoms. You have the right to object to this processing at any time, in which case we will cease such processing without undue delay;
  • Legal obligation: We process personal data where necessary to comply with legal obligations, for example under applicable accounting and bookkeeping legislation, which may require us to retain certain information for a specified period;
  • Performance of a contract: We process personal data where necessary for the performance of a contract with you, or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. The retention period will depend on the nature and duration of the contractual relationship;
  • Retention of personal data relating to non-customers (leads): If you contact us via our contact forms or by contacting us by other means but do not enter into a contractual relationship with us, we will normally retain your contact details and enquiry information for a maximum of 18 months from your last interaction with us (e.g., your most recent communication). After this period, the personal data will be deleted or anonymised, unless a longer retention period is necessary to handle an ongoing matter or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We carry out periodic reviews to ensure that personal data is not retained for longer than necessary.

Transfer of personal data to other countries or third parties

We do not sell your e-mail address or other personal data to any third party for marketing or other purposes. However, we may disclose your personal data to third parties where necessary to comply with legal obligations, to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements, or to protect DISAB’s interests or security. DISAB may also come to share and store personal data with service providers acting as data processors on our behalf, such as [IT and system providers (e.g. hosting, cloud services and business systems) that may process personal data relating to employees, customers and suppliers], [service providers for communications or mailings (e.g. email distribution tools or CRM systems)], and [other administrative or support service providers, where applicable]. Such processing is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Amendments to this Privacy Policy

We are constantly looking for new ways to improve our websites. It may be the case that we make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time.
