DISAB DISA-RAIL 1700
The High-Capacity Railway Vacuum Maintenance System
DISA-RAIL 1700 for Vacuum Precision
The DISA-RAIL 1700 improves efficiency in railway maintenance through its flexible transport, precise operation, and versatile material handling, which ultimately minimizes track-bound maintenance time and provides more room for railway traffic.
Why Choose the DISA-RAIL 1700?
- Streamlined Operation: Technology specifically designed to minimize track downtime.
- Versatile Material Handling: Effortlessly handle wet and dry materials such as macadam, soil, and sludge in the same process.
- Unmatched Reach: Easily access restricted and hard-to-reach areas like tunnels and cable ducts.
- Flexible Transport: Compatible with rail-ready chassis systems for easy on-and-off track mobility.
- Innovative Side-Tipping: Features a unique hydraulic side-tipping function for safe, easy material discharge directly from the cab.
Benefits of DISAB DISA-RAIL 1700
● Flexible Transport: The unit is easily mounted onto the Eco Rail MPC30 chassis using quick couplers, enabling highly flexible transport on both public roads and railway tracks.
● Streamlined Operation: When teamed with an excavator, the DISA-RAIL 1700 creates a flexible machine system with high capacity and precision. Operators can smoothly control all functions, including precise nozzle positioning and hydraulic side tipping to drain material, using an in-cab radio control without ever leaving their seat.
● Continuous Material Handling: The machine can suck up large amounts of both dry and wet masses in the same process without needing to stop and empty the container in between. It handles a wide range of coarse and fine materials (such as macadam, soil, clay, water, and leaves) and features fully automatic filter cleaning during operation, which helps prevent unnecessary stops.
● Versatile Applications: It efficiently tackles challenging railway maintenance tasks, such as loading hard-to-reach macadam, clearing cable ductings, soaking up wet masses from wells, and sucking away harmful dust while working in tunnels.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Which functions are controlled via the radio transmitter?
Via the in-cab radio transmitter, operators can smoothly control several key functions without leaving their seat. These include starting/stopping the engine, turning the vacuum on/off, adjusting speeds (min, average, max), activating hydraulic side tipping, opening/closing discharge hatches, and triggering a pneumatic vibrator for smooth discharge.
How are the filters cleaned?
The automatic filter cleaning is a pneumatic system that functions fully automatically while running. The machine separates the bulk material into the main chamber and passes fine dust into a separate filter chamber. The system continuously drops trapped dust to the bottom of the chamber, preventing clogs, avoiding downtime, and ensuring a dust-free environment.
What are the benefits of the side tipping feature?
It provides an efficient way to dispose of collected materials like soil, clay, water, or macadam. Activated remotely via radio control, the operator can safely drain the tank from the excavator cab, and it can be paired with a pneumatic vibrator to ensure a completely smooth discharge.
Can the unit be customized with different hose sizes?
Yes.
While it comes with a standard 200 mm suction hose, it can be customized. Options include manifolds with smaller vacuum connections for tight spaces (or hand-held nozzles), longer hoses utilizing the machine’s powerful suction, and specific attachments like extension tubes or rubber-edged tubes.
Dust-free work environment
With DISA-RAIL 1700 you handle dusting materials with ease. You can also suck up dust pollution in the air, during work in tunnels. Even coarse material such as macadam contains large amounts of particles and dust. These can pose health risks and unnecessary stops, if spread to the environment.
With DISAB’s proven air filtering technology, you soak up fine-grained and dusty materials very effectively. The filter cleaning is fully automatic during operation, as material falls to the bottom of the filter chamber.
